So I needed to replace my stocks from an accident, and mentioned that I'd enjoy Halo lights. I didn't however do my research and specify to the very nice person who decided to gift me a set of Spyders they found online for my birthday. I installed them (Because who returns a gift!? I mean really... I couldn't...) and to be honest I really like them. Sure, the light output isn't all that great- but I live in a metro area and any rural driving I'll be doing the highs will be able to suffice.

I've seen a lot of hate for these lights, and I'm worried... are these just a ticking time bomb? Should I have sucked it up and tried to send them back to get eagle eyes? I saw a lot of the issues people had with them were namely the output, and the halo itself wasn't a CCFL- but the one I have is pretty nice looking during daytime. (I'll post pics tomorrow.)

I'm looking for an affirmation that it's going to be alright. Hold me.

I mean its all personal preference imho. But i got my spyders cause I loveeeee the way those bitches look. I put 8k HID's and its heaven.. The only thing i miss is not having the halo's visible but it doesn't matter cause at night my car looks super sexyy. So like i said ALL pp.

Yeah, the light output is fairly week. You might want tor run it through a carwash to see if it has any leaking (fog will result). Other than that, if you're okay with the light output, you should be good for few years. Just make sure you install the Halo wiring properly

        Re: Spyder Headlights

Everything was good on my spyders till the winter, then they went to the shits... I hope they work longer for you! I used my fogs a lot with the lows and it helped with the light output, so you might want to give that a try.

Ya mine are not that useful as well...I bought them because they came tinted and they looks very attractive...except for the ghetto wannabe CCFL Halos...they are just an LED on the bottom that lights half of a ring...lol...IT'S THE NEW LOOK!!!

            Re: Spyder Headlights

Well, good enough to know what I'm looking at. Seems like if I have issues with them I'll know soonish enough. They've taken a beating with the amount of rain lately with no fogging, the light output isn't an issue as I could probably drive w/o headlights most nights anyway. Thanks for the replies!

              Re: Spyder Headlights

I just got a set of the black housing of these and love em. have 25000k hid in the lows and I've had them since last weekend and havent done much night driving but on lighted roads they are fine but in dimly lit areas they suck but i dont think i adjusted them right. I really need help on the right way to adjust projectors. These are my first encounter with Projector headlights. If anyone can give me a walk thru with maybe pictures on how they are supposed to be aimed would be greatly appreciated. (: BTW enjoy them.
