    That's what I keep thinking but this guy is telling me he bought it for his wife's G6 for 800. I was really wanting an AIT or GXP but for this hood it might not be too bad because it's local and hopefully paint would only be a couple hundo...
    Finished Mods: 15% window tint, Spyder headlights, Custom Interior Paint, CRABS CAI w/FPU, MPD Hood(Color Matched), Front Bumper Chrome painted Flat Black, Carbon Fiber badge overlays.

    Future Mods: Lowering Springs, MMI's, Strut Bar, GT-R Exhaust, 93 Octane Tune, MPD Spoiler, Rims & Tires(TBD)

      Shit man, if it is MPD and you don't want it. Let me know, its already black and might save me money Hopefully he'll ship lol

        Will do, but I figured if it was MPD he'd be advertising it as such to try and get as much as he can but he is very vague with details on what it exactly came off of and where he bought it from.

          that is the mpd fo sho. and if its 400 dollars and you can get your hands on it now. DO IT. jesus thats cheap for what it is. if he said 800 with shipping and the rest thats 100% feasible. buy it asap. at a MINIMUM you should buy it and then if you mock it up and hate it before paint then sell it on here for 500 bucks. 100 bucks in the hand, benefit a member, hell maybe even benefit you.

                Pooners, my first option was AIT-GXP-MPD...but given the price and close location I can't pass up a great hood at a excellent price. Are there any fitting issues with MPD hoods or do they bolt right up to original hardware?

                  Their fitment is pretty good, no complaints from what I've heard on that. From factory it does have to get adjusted before being put on but this guy may have already done it.

                    One question I have is did the MPD hoods always ram air straight into the CRAB Airbox or did they change that later on? Since I have a CRAB intake I'm hoping this is how they were always built but for some reason I'm thinking originally they went into the stock air box. I just want to make sure when I put this hood on it will seal right up to my current CRAB box.

                      Nope...I had an original 5 piece designed cab for the original MPD hood.
                      Eric then made an adapter for the hood to fit the current cab which rendered the
                      5 piece design antiquated. Which is good cause it was a beeeotch to make.

                      Take a snap of the underside of the hood and I can tell you if it has the adapter.

                      If it doesnt you can call Eric at MPD and get one from him. You drill & rivit it in place.

                      He has been including them in the hoods he has sold for the last few years. He is a Vendor here ya know.
                      You can always post up in his section and ask him. Its better to call him though. ;-)

                        I want the MPD baddddd... been dealing with insurance I called Eric and he said it would be 6 weeks so I couldn't wait. Had to go with a new stock hood!

                          I'll be picking it up on saturday night and I'll post pictures so I can figure out if I need the adapter or not. I'm pumped to get a MPD hood for 450!!!!!!!! Here we come functional hood with some attitude to it.

                                After a very long wait here is the scoop, I have the hood in my basement and I've been waiting for this adapter from the guy. I finally got him to ship it so it should be here mid week but my question is...can anyone give me a picture of where their adapter is riveted into the hood? I'm sure I don't have to get carried away but since I've never had to rivet something in I'd like to do it right on the first shot. Thanks in advance
