I think its a decent idea, but instead of modin the air box why not remove it and just an air intake with a cone right there?!

I bet the air resistance on that hood is incredible... just imagine two holes that are sealed on the end, that itself would slow your car down a lot more than you would imagine

One thing I noticed both with pricing and whatyou are getting... it is DAMN expensive!!

COnsidering the hood is only fiberglassed covering a steel frame. Thats outrageous! Hell, we had a CARBON FIBER hood made for teh contoru sfor less than 500 shipped. Perhaps I need to whip out my book of CF contacts for some new carbon fiber goodies.

Ofcoarse this will more than have to wait til summerish when we have mroe active members, but..

I could probably get us Carbon Fiber Engine covers, battery box covers, hoods, trunk lids, door panels, mirrors, rear lower valance, etc, etc done for a pretty good price through some of my past suppliers. Off to post a new thread in GB forums...

It may be expensive, but when you start adding carbon fiber parts like the ones you mentioned you can rack up a pretty nice bill too. I hope this hood eventually goes down in price..or other people start carrying it at lower prices. But I'll tell you this: if we could get a GB on this hood I'd definitely be in.

So the hood is just a fiberglass overlay on a steel bottom?? I could maybe see that price if the entire hood was FB. The air resistance thing is correct though-I don't think that hood is worth it. I'm gonna wait to see what comes out for these cars.
