    Agreed.

The stratus coupe was actually designed to try to edge in on the Eclipse Market.

Has the mitsubishi eclipse engine in it too.

I read that the reason it failed miserably in doing so was because Dodge didnt offer it in a turbo.

And now its been killed off altogether.
Hang on a second, Chrysler owns Mitsubishi - why would it edge a car in on one of its own?
    Thats like asking...

Why there was a Dodge Neon and a Plymouth Neon at exactly the same time.

    Because they can! :smoke:

And to my knowledge, Chrysler doesnt own mitsubishi. Just partnershipped with them. Thats why with the discussion of Mitsu going under, Dodge hasnt been in on that at all. Mitsu pretty much lives off the service contracts sold by Dodge for their motors in the chrysler vehicles.

isn't that what GM is doing with the sky and solstice?[/quote]

yes, but looking at both the sky and the solstice, there is a huge effort to differentiate the two. the solstice is definately sportier, as it is sprung tighter. the sky is a little more luxurious, and priced a bit higher to reflect that.

they both look REALLY good, though!
imports are a bad habit that i wish America would break!

The one thing I don't like about the G5 is that it is a blatant re-badge of a Cobalt and doesn't look different enough. Not that the Cobalt is a bad looking car, but at least the Saturn ION looks different and has some unique features.

One of the reasons I like the G6 is that it looks nothing like the Chevy Malibu and other Epsilon cars.
