  • Jtrage's Progression thread AKA The Orange Project

Ok.. as promised to a few.. here is my work in progress...

The Exterior (new paint is required )

Now for the MODS in the order on my Sig!

    Interior:

    Lighting:

LED Tails (no resistors required )

    Interior

    HID
    no pics yet - sooooooon!!

    Performance:

My own built rear tower bar!!

    Racingline front tower bar

NOTE: To my knowledge, I may be the only one with both a front AND rear bar, but please correct me if Im wrong.

SO... this is my obsession since I pried it out of the ex-wifes hands during the divorce. Its condition was deplorable when I got it and is the main reason for the paint needing to be done. Let me know what yall think!!

Thanks for posting those. Your car is coming along very nicely. I like the orange treatment and the f and b bars are nice touches. Upgraded rims would give your 6 an even better look. Keep it up.

Thanks Jack... plenty on the plate for upgrades... but as most here know, money isnt readily available in the time and space so big ticket stuff has to take a back seat ...

Now THATS a good damn question!!....lol...

I bought the lights WITH those pesky load balancing resisters that get way too hot for mounting on anything plastic. But when I installed the lights and tested them BEFORE installing the resisters (just had to see what they looked like ) I found that the signaling function worked flawlessly!! .... so the resistors still sit on the top of my toolbox in the bag they came in...

NOW, I might have to use them when I put in the front LEDS... so ill hold on to them till then.....

I had to make a SLIGHT modification to the socket as the base of the bulb is a bit wider than it probably should have been... but that was so it would click down into place and hold it there without falling out....

just how big of a brightness difference was noticed upon install of the LEDS?
