Sorry, but I work 3p-11p, so have not been doin' much. I tried using the Permatex Black Silicone Sealant, also did not work. Would not hold, and too glossy, stuck out too much. So removed that. Now going to try E6000 Industrial Strength Craft Adhesive, states that it works well with all types of plastics. A lot of the automotive adhesives say not to use on any plastics. This stuff is also paintable, so hopefully can blend in better. I am off this w/e, so will make sure to get pics. I should have it installed in the car with 2 gauges before Monday. Right now I'm getting ready to pass out again because I just finished repainting for the 2nd time.
Best thing I've found is a plastic bumper repair kit. It's 2 parts that when mixed together work like body filler, but it's made for plastic's. I use it to make custom dash pieces for car audio, but I've used it for something similar to what your doing as well.
Looks kinda like this, may vary from store to store.
It will actually bond the plastic together as well and make the two pieces stronger together.
