  • The OFFICIAL G6 Top 1/4 Mile Times List!!

    The 1/4 mile time list was always a big factor in motivating me to mod my car. Getting on the list, then getting closer to the top, was all it took for me to be hooked!

    The rules:
    - Only actual ET's are valid, "altitude adjusted" times will not be considered.
    - You can only be listed in one category.
    - You must list major power adders (supercharger, nitrous, turbo, etc)
    - NEW RULE, as of 10 Sep 07 you will need to provide a link to your time slip before you can be added.

      Last week at the first Gold Cup race of the year I was able to get my 07 GTP into the 14's on my first time trial of the day.

      My G6 is bone stock but I did replace the crappy Goodyear tires with Bridgestone Potenza's. When I ran this ET I was running the tires at 30 PSI. I get the best consistency though when I run them at 23 - 25 PSI. At the lower tire pressure, the car runs consistently between 15.00 and 15.10 depending on how much cool down time I get between runs.

        I went to the track today with my base model, crappy transmission (3500 engine) and ran a 16.03 @ 87.17mph. I had a 2.35 60'. I have a Doctor Speed cold air box and a cat back magnaflow exhaust. I wasn't expecting it to be a speed demon, was just curious what she'd do.

          This is about what I would expect from that car. I agree about the tires, but dont want to waste money on a 2 year lease. Did you run with the TC on?

            I got a better launch

                I finaly got a scanner, but lost almost all of my time slips. This on is one is my fastest motor pass. I will have a N2O pass soon. The mods to the car are DR. Speed stage 4 intake and HPtunners tune performed by me.

                I went 13.7 with the old dry set up hope to go much quicker with the new wet system better tune and bottle heater. Will find out soon.

                        New Times, Now With VMS ECM Tune

                            It has taken me a week to post this, but I got some numbers from my wet nitrous set up. I want to say first this is on stock tires so traction was very limmited. The system could not even be activated untill second gear. For the a4 cars that is around 50 mpnh before any spray could be added without just smoking the tires to the point that the rev-limmiter was active. The very first pass was aginst a new GT slowstang with quite a few bolts. He of course jumped hard out of the hole "about 2 cars on me." I felt that I had traction about 3500 rpms or so snd decied to spray. BAD IDEA!!!! The car went to the rev-limmiter at 6600 as soon as I sprayed. I let off as fast as I hit it and and waited for traction. I got back on the bottle about 6000 rpms into first and still got a good bit of tire spin, but it quickly hooked up and put about 3 cars on the Mustang.That was the slowest pass of the night 13.9...@102... Several more passes were made that night with only a 13.86@102.81 as the fastest [I didn't spray untill second gear all other attemps that were made I tired at the top of first]. I learned on thing I need better tires before the times will get any better. Had I been able to spray sooner the car would have traped a higher speed and much better et. Look for better times in the future when the stock LS2 Goodyear tires are finished. NO weight has been striped from the car I even ran with the spare tire still in place.

                              Finally got a new personal best at Moroso. Had to drop the back seat and spare. About 80 pounds. I also ran with 1/4 to 1/8 tank. Dropped the pressure to 22 psi up front and was on the stickiest track I've ever seen(felt?). I also had the resonator removed, don't think that helped too much it at all.
