    3.5l vs 3.9l

    Hey new to the thread. Malibu fourms arnt that great. Anyways i love my malibu but im conviced its a lemon. So really tempted to sell it and get and ss (currently have an 04 lt) any thoughts about the ss? is it a good car? Etc...

    What's going on with your Malibu? Your car is 12 years old at this point, I don't think it could hardly be classified as a lemon.

    As far as the difference between the two, basically the 3.5 is a good motor, but the transmission isn't built for its power output. The the transmission the comes with the 3.9 is better and should be trouble free, but the motor has issues...mostly head gasket related.
