    Re: Cruisin's Pickup Truck

Alright so a couple weeks ago I found a guy on craigslist selling a trans, Just to happens to come from the exact same year and engine s10 I have, with only 83k on it, Scooped it up for $250 and ordered all the parts for a tune up.

    Yanked the old trans out...

And slid that new one right in...

Also put a new filter in the trans and filled it up,
Did an oil change on the engine too.
Also found one completely rotted vac line, Replaced the whole thing.

Put in a new distributor cap and rotor, and a new wireset.
Also got a new set of OEM spark plugs that were discontinued, which was a nice find.

Someone long ago gutted the cat, so I decided to just remove it and put a pipe section in.
I did break some studs on the exhaust but I made it work

Now it drives great, nice and smooth and strong, shifts perfect and it's nice and quiet...even though it only has one muffler on the exhaust.

Nice. Now you finally have something to help out your RX-8 project.

If I can sell it, it'll probably finance the 8 build.

A clean S-10 with a new tranny should be as easy to sell as a fresh hot-dog. Unless you keep it to carry RX-8's parts.
