any help here would be appreciated...

i have a 2008 G6 GT 3.5L V6 and my temperature needle isnt reading on the dashboard... so i bought the temperature sensor but i don't know where to locate it under the hood. from what i have read online, it says that its located near the thermostat which comes from the top radiator hose... im hoping thats right cause thats what im going to try... if anyone could help me here, i would really appreciate it!!!

On my Malibu 3.9L and my dad's 2007 3.5L G6, the temperature sensor is located under the throttle body, on the right of the engine when you stand in front of it.
