  • I say no on GM period.

Don't buy a GM. They're more worried about the business end of things and their books and avoiding paying back the bailout money and buying superbowl ad space than making good cars. Plain and simple. They need to get back to the basics.

Ah shit....where was this post 15 years ago when I bought my first one?! You could've saved me so much trouble after I kept buying them.

Every car company is only worried about the money and books. Except Tesla

Eh, it's alright. I maintain them well enough to keep the GM vehicle from becoming a lemon or how you put it. I want a Tesla too!

I have to say before 2010, it was true. After 2010, GM started to make way better cars. The Chevy's line-up (Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Aveo/Sonic, etc.), Buick's line-up (Regal, Verano, LaCrosse, etc.), Cadillac's line-up (ATS, CTS, XTS, CT6, etc.). It is maybe not perfect, but who makes perfect cars ? (Except Tesla ) Toyota ? Honda ? No. Because let's look at a Civic and Corolla. They are about the same cars since years. No innovations. A manufacturer that does not innovate is less likely to have reliability issues. After the 2008 crisis, GM started to innovate, and their new technologies (Volt, 1.4T, 2.0 TurboDiesel, 6 speed transmission unit, etc.) need time to be improved and become reliable, like any manufacturer.
