I can check for TCM pinouts when I get home.
I was curious to see if I can add tap shift but I wonder if programming would be needed.
Keep in mind some cars have the TCM built into the PCM so it's one module. Other cars have the TCM built into the Trans so getting to it could be quite difficult.

So I can't seem to choose by transmission, But I found differences between the 3.5 v6 and the 3.6 v6. I pulled both for an 07 saturn aura.

      3.5 V6

      3.6 V6

I can't help but think some things are left out on the 3.6 diagram...

Here goes nothing! I'm crossing my fingers and praying to the Car God's for this to go well.

Okay, I just got in my 09 Chevy malibu paddle shifter steering wheel. I seen that the clock spring is not on it. So I guess I have to order me one, unless mine works? Then I have to see where the wires come from that work the shifting. The shifters have a pull and push to it on each side of the wheel. So I use my thumb to push the paddle in to shift up and pull it to me to shift down.
          So, here it is:

Researched the part number for the malibu's steering wheel clock spring and mine to see if I had to order a new one. So.....great news! They are the same part number! So this could very well work by just plugging in the paddle shifters and I guess you can say, paddle down the road

You MAY need to add a wire on the dash side of the clock spring.

                What does the wire do?

It'll be that purple signal wire that goes to the TCM

There is a spot open on the clock spring that plugs the paddle shifter harness into. The wires that go into it are get the letters A - K. The purple one is letter B. Here is a picture:

Here are the newest steps in the process:

This one showing the pin is out because I am finding out if it goes into slot lettered A or B? It originally went into slot B.

Our clock spring has no male pins for A and B slots. So I took the malibu's pins out to replace the ones that were on the G6's. Here is a photo of the pins that go on the clock spring:

These photos are of the pins from the Malibu. So this will be the swap with G6 of course.

Well, on my g6 steering wheel, I used a house of Kolor pavo purple 2k shimmer. And now on the malibu steering wheel, I used a lighter purple and sprayed vht nite shades to make it darker. It is like a midnight blue now. Hahaha
