I'm guessing you didn't use shrouds...

Not even if you cut it?

Nope. Way to tight. And I would have to cut my headlight bezel that rests in the headlight lens. So basically the shroud would sit against the front of my lens if I used it. Only option really is fiberglass.

Imo the only 2.5" bi-xenon projector worth buying is the fxr. And it's bigger than the mini d2s which could have been an issue with his small housings.

And unless he had gotten a mini h1 and mini gatling shroud he would still have the same issue.

A Mini H1 would've been fine. Does it have the best output on the market? No, but it might've been the best option for sleepy in terms of fitment.

                        Re: alero retrofit! in progress.

I thought about the mini h1. I didnt see alot of "rave" about those projectors. So I looked between the 2.0 and 3.0 mini's. 3.0 I liked better. So I decided on that. But so far I dont regret no shroud. But I know I will get some crap for it. Oh well...

Here ya go finished product. Sadly no shroud. But hey doesnt look to bad to me.

Doesn't look too bad in picture form I suppose.

Yeah its not terrible ill have to get on car shots soon as well. But the output will be much nicer then before.

Morimoto really stepped up the performance of the mini d2s. The 3.0 is quite an improvement over the 2.0.

I completely agree! The 2.0 housing looked plastic while the 3.0 is a metal type housing.
