Does the spare tire still fit with this upgrade?

Just put the spare on the rear. It's better anyways as you're less likely to have issues in a turn.

Well if im on the side of the road id rather not have to be swapping out multiple tires id rather do that when i got home

          Understandable.
I just did a quick search and it looks like the Saab 9-5 spare tire is a 16 inch.
And IIRC so is the g6 spare.
I'd assume it would be a good fit and the same fit/offset

Interesting i may do this... Honestly the brembos just arnt worth it to me for this car as its not a fast enough car for me to justify spending that much on brakes lol but this may be a good option for better brakes and solve the issue with rotors warping. I havnt had the issue yet but it seems to be a big issue. I wonder what he meant when he said he had to drill something cuz other than that it seemed to be a pretty straight forward swap.

Yea. I decided I'm going this route as well.
The Saab brakes are noticeably bigger and should make a world of difference.
I should start hitting junk yards for 9-5 parts haha

Bwaha. Trust me its on the list.
Right now my money is actually being saved for a custom part that I'll be installing. More details on that later though

Re: Tried the road less traveled for brakes.

I priced it out to just over $400 using all new parts from Autozone, and that's using their cmax pads.
I'm pretty sure you can get it down to $300 easily if you source the calipers and rotors from other places. Like amazon...

Front Brembo 4 piston brake calipers left and right. With Pin Kit and brake pad shim hardware. With Power Stop Ceramic Brake pads. Original New GM. Look for ZZPerformance on all social platforms! May work for other vehicles.

$420 shipped for a new set of Brembos. I'd have a hard time spending going this route compared to that.

You still need rotors for this im guessing the $400 for the saab stuff is everything the brembos is somewhere around $600 for everything usually and u can use ur spare and have to use spacers unless u have aftermarket rims or the conalt ss rims

Also like he said it could be bought from other ppaces for possibly cheaper or even from the junk yard for some of the parts since theyre not highly desired brakes

Ok, add $70 for a pair of rotors and once you throw in the spacers you're around $500, so about $100 extra to run a 4 piston fixed caliper over a single piston floating design. Running the Brembos also requires no permanent modification to your car.

I wonder how much bigger the brembo rotors are compared to the 9-5 rotors.
The 9-5 rotors are clearly larger than the g6.
