      Re: ROTM dead?

As always, it should be a moderators job to control ROTM. there is ot generally enough interest to start to threads for ROTM nor is there that many cars other than G6's that get nominated so I think that it would be best if there is just one ROTM period. At permission of the admins, I would like to handle ROTM starting next month.

It should be but as of Mar 2012, you apparantly weren't singing the same tune you are now (see ahuhn's quote). As I expected there was no Aug/Sept ROTM . It does go both ways with non-staff participation and staff posting the thread. As you can see ahuhn's quote, I was the only member to step up and do July ROTM.

Maybe we should do it quarterly like G6OC does....

          I rest my case.

Awesome follow-up... so now the question, should the ROTM be resurrected?

I think if the moderators have lack of interest to support forum health and activities then why are they a moderator? - But this would be political so I won't venture down this road fully.

It doesn't mean that the "new breed" of G6 owners should be penalized because the old school G6'ers have modded there car fully and have vanished and interest in the event has lost sight in there eyes.

I nominate 10white to be the next ROTM event holder, if he/she up to it, of course.

G6P could do a ROTM but it mostly relies on the members participation, which limited will do. For example, Oct nom thread = 24 hours, 24 views, 0 noms.

            That's Lampoon's choice.

It doesn't but the members (new and old breed) are the ones who make ROTM.

Thanks for the nom but I'm about to get out of the military and this website/car is not on top of the list right now. Time for another member/mod to step up and run ROTM.

                  Re: ROTM dead?

I was wondering what happened to ROTM. I guess I have found out. I am usually on here every night checking out all the threads that have been updated through out the day while I was asleep. I would step up and start the ROTM if someone is willing to tell me what all is needed to do it.

                      Re: ROTM dead?

Sounds good but how do you do the actual voting thing? I have seen it at the top of the ROTM threads but thought that you have to be a moderator the set that part up. I will have to check the previous ROTM threads when I get back to the house.

I was thinking of doing on Nov/Dec due to the holidays and the fact that Nov is almost over. Then once Jan start we can use all the 2012 ROTM Winners and do a 2012 ROTY.

                      What do you guys think?

I have noticed there are prizes for those who win. How/who comes up with those? I live in the sticks so I know there's no one around here that's going to put anything up.

The prize was put forth the last time by Discount Tire. This is the only physical prize I have seen. Usually Pooners grants a ROTM info badge to the winner.
