I like how the painted spacers peak out if your at the right angle. If I have to get spacers down the road I'm painting them. Thanks for the idea.

                  Bryant,

if I'm driving down the garden state and I drive up onto your ass and a retractable "get off my ass fucker" flamethrower pops out of your trunk I'm going to be so pissed! - I thought of that idea 1st!!!!!

but it's nice to see R&D is still kicking...

Yupp, i think it came out pretty damn well for a spray can. Duplicolor engine enamal (ceramic stuff) for the primer and clear, the color coats were with duplicolor metalspecks blue.

Prep and patience was key though. Sanded them down with like 600 grit, then wipe down with denatured alcohol. 2 coats of primer with an hour between. Let the primer cure for 72 hours. 2 coats of color with an hour between. Let the color cure for 72 hours. Then 2 coats of clear with an hour between. Let that sit for 7 days before applying decals and installing. The finish came out super hard from the ample curing time. Took about 2 weeks in the making, but i thought it was well worth the result.

I hope it holds up well for you after all that work. I took my time and the first time I had to take the calipers off I got chips in the duplicolor. I broke down and am getting powder coating done as I type this.

Yeah I was thinking that also, I guess Ill see how they do. For the $25 in paint though i figured it was worth a shot even if it only lasts a year or so. If they start chipping though Ill likely just go the same route and get the powdercoated
