          Re: Wert842s Slobalt SS

Amonth after I got the car, I took it to the strip a couple times and was only managing 14.3-14.5 consecutively. By the end of this summer with just a intake, catless dp, and a trifecta 23psi tune, I managed my best of a 13.2 on a 2.2 60ft. Definitely makes my old g6 seem slow. Hopefully next yea I can hit 12, on street tires and pump gas. If I can accomplish that, I'd be really happy with the car. From a roll, The car is just a beast and eats almost anything.

Definitely go with the turbo version. Car responds to aftermarket parts so much better and can easily make more power off the bat than a sc.

You get plenty with the tc version. The car is completely underestimated too.

                    Re: Wert842s Slobalt SS

Where at in pa are you? But yeah the tc and or sc cobalts are pretty quick little cars. Everyone is amazed how much hp my little sol has. My STi might give it a run for its money but there kinda hard to judge without driving them back to back. Might be kinda hard to tell without data loging since manual cars always feel faster because your more involved where as my sol you just put the pedal down. I just got to 1k this week on my sti and its been crappy so not way to many chances to take it over the 4k mark but the thing just pulls hard once you get it spooled.

                      I'm from Johnstown, PA. You?

When i take my car to the strip, I ususaly go with a couple of my buddy's. The one dude I go with has an 11 sti with just a stage 1 manages 13-13.2 easily, but once managed a 12.9 when it was 42 degrees out. My best was 13.22 with my car. He was speechless when I ran that cause he said I'd never be able to touch his car at the strip. When it comes to a roll race, my car walks away from him like nothing. <- the real reason he got butt hurt and said I'd never get near him on the strip.

The LNF engine is a complete powerhouse with just about any mod you throw it at. With the tune on your sol, how many pounds of boost does it push?

I have the trifecta dual tune on my mine also. It is currently at 23psi, with only the solo Mach exhaust on it I have a couple of performance autowerks parts to put on that I have had for awhile just never gotten around to take it anywhere to put them.

I have trifecta on mine too. I definitely enjoy the car and the mods really helped out. I was stock managing a 14.3-14.4 with 2.2-2.3 60fts and now I'm managing a solid 2.0-2.1 60ft with times of 13.2-13.3 consecutively. With just $700 in parts that I put on it, it increased the power tremendously right off the bat. I love when people underestimate the car though...

You should strongly consider debadging the car. Trust me, an SS cobalt looks mad sleek afterwards.
