    Re: black07g6gtp's Progression

Yeah, I was was never a fan of the beaver teeth. I like the AIT bumper because it looks kind of like the concept GXP bumper but I didn't want to mess with trying to fit it. I wanted something more aggressive looking but OEM plug and play. Not sure why the GTP didn't have a different front bumper than the other trim models. I like to call it a GTP Street Edition.

Show: GXP Hood - 2009.5 Front Bumper & Rear Spoiler - Black Housing Headlights - White LED Reverse and License Plate Lights- White LED Interior Dome & Map Lights - Matsushita Gen4 6000K HID Lows - White LED Fogs - GXP Rear Bumper - White LED KPH Instrument Cluster Conversion - 15% Tint

Go: CRAB + FPU Powder coated wrinkle black - Racingline STB , MMI & Grounding Kit - Dash Hawk - Front 4 Piston Brembo Brakes - Rear Cobalt SS TC Brakes - BMD Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines & Endlinks - WAMS 93 Tune - Custom Magnaflow Exhaust - Milzy Motorsports Headers

But man you are doing exactly what I want to do with my 07 GTP :P same engine theme, exhaust set up and other then I've been in debate over caliper paint, headers and a GXP hood was in the plans too! I just was thinking of going ait hood and skirts. Looks good tho man! Loving it so far!!!... Obvs aha

        Re: black07g6gtp's Progression

        Thanks!
Go for it! What about Brembos? I was between the AIT and GXP hoods for while. I like the functionality of the AIT but I got a really great deal on the GXP hood. Still working out the kinks on my exhaust setup.

I'm doing brembos just don't know what colour to paint them. And hey when you get a deal, take it and I like the look of your exhaust, however for me I don't want anything too loud, unfortunately it's my daily and I drive with other people, and stuff so I need to find the right balance of height and sound that looks good and sounds nice but doesn't shout "tuner!" Or "mod car" which then ppl complain :/. It's a rough life ik... It sucks, but that is why I have a project car so it's not the worst thing I guess aha. I just really like the sound of a 3.6 with no restrictions :P

Quick question, was the headers worth it?

            Re: black07g6gtp's Progression

Yes and no. For the power increase yes, but they are the reason I've had to tweak my exhaust. I started with the GT-R exhaust and it sounded awesome. After installing the headers, it was much louder and really raspy under open throttle. Some of that was reduced with the y-pipe/dual muffler setup. Hopefully swapping the resonator out for a longer/wider one will get the sound where I want it. Don't forget you will have to tune the ECU to delete the rear O2 sensor cat codes. Also, you have to keep in mind that you are removing the factory cats, so that could be an issue in some places for inspections.

I think the outlet on the headers could have been 2.5" instead of 3"

              Re: black07g6gtp's Progression

Yeah I'm in a debate, I did the headers on my 3.5 and it was cool, but they were a lot cheaper lol :P the only reason why I'm considering is because my 1 car is gone so I was thinking for the price it would be about the same. And I can either weld in 1 high flow cat or, just run o2 spacers with the adjustable jets from racingline like on my last g6 that does the trick too. And that's fine 2.5" still would be the same or bigger then stock, I'm more looking at for a HP increase but I do want it to sound good

I bought some black US style hoppers from someone here on the forum but I might still want 4 more so that I can run full and empty rakes without removing the coal loads.

So if anyone 4 for sale please send me a PM
