      Re: G6: Trade In Value?

yeah like dealerships care about tires and rims, don't care much for performance upgraded unless its either a turbo or supercharger. so if you plan on selling take the performance mods off and sell them separately, you'll get more money.

                  Re: G6: Trade In Value?

Ya it would probable be somewhere in that range maybe a little more depending on what you have done to the car that adds value.

                    Re: G6: Trade In Value?

Dealers don't care one bit about what mods you did to the car, in fact they might offer you less if the car isn't stock. I was just looking at EVO's and they offered up to $8,000 for my 06 GTP with 75k and all I've done to it...they never even looked at the car lol. They do a straight up search in the system, ask if it has been in an accident and if it has navigation, and then throw a number to you that's basically the same as kelly blue book. That is actually a fair number for my car stock, a good private sale would be around $10,000...I'm trying to get $11,500 with all the work I put in, someone is gonna get a decent deal.

In June 2012 when I traded my GTP with 40K miles on it I had to argue to get 9K trade in on it. Only way they would agree to it is I had to give them also the factory hood. As they wanted nothing to do with the GXP hood that was on it even though it was an option on the 2008 with the street edition, didn't come on the 2006 so they didn't want it. And only other thing they cared about is was it in any accidents. Dealerships biggest war cry is "You have to understand, its a Pontiac. There no longer in production so its much harder to sell them. Going by consumer reports or Kelly blue book value doesn't represent its true market value as it doesn't take in account its a discontinued company."

                        G6 Trade In Value

trade in is never as high as resale value. then of course they put it back out on the lot at a marked up profit. but trade in plus down payment may help ya......or just sell it your self asking for high book & see what offers you get.....

They were stupid to not want the eye catching hood.
