  • Full Bolt On 3.6 Dynojet Run

    This is my dyno after the rebuild (again) caused by somewhat unknown circumstances. Mods at this point are FWI, ported upper/lower intake manifold, ported heads, manifold spacers, MMS headers, and cat-back exhaust. Also added was a Powerbond UDP.

    Unfortunately, I wasn't there for the tuning. So I have no vids. But here is the graph. It has the previous dyno, minus full exhaust and UDP, overlaid with it.




    Note the temperature that this was done at. Wonder what some cooler weather would bring. ;-)

    I don't really know what I'm reading, so I'm guessing you're HP is 236 and Torque is 205, or close to those numbers.
    Questions:
    1: Are you satisfied with the outcome?
    2: Are you getting, or were you expecting more HP? (I ask cause I thought stock the 3.6 came with over 240....I'm asking cause I don't know, learning is an every day thing)

      Nice. With those numbers, and estimatign 15% drivetrain loss, you can guestimate anywhere from 270-280hp (Over stock 251) and between 235-245ft-lb (However, stock is supposta be 251 as well but GM could have screwed us).

        i thought the estimated whp that your mechanic said was around 300?

          yeah I understand why others are kinda like WHAAA??!

          You have done quite a bit of major engine modding for a 46hp gain. Who cars about crank HP, its all about the dyno HP. Did the tuner say he was completely finished with the car? I would imagine they have a little more work to do in order to get the engine with all the mods up and going like it should

            I'm still confused by this. From what it shows you either lost torque, or ONLY gained hp. That's assuming 15% loss in all actuallity it is prob a larger loss than that..

                do you have a full intake and a ECM TCM tune?

                Mods- VMS ECM/TCM Tune, Custom Magnaflow Cat Back, Full CRAB Intake, Racing Line Motor Mounts and Strut Tower Brace. Tinted Windows & Tails. EBC USR Rotors Front and Rear running YellowStuff Pads

                    a before and after dyno on the same machine would have been nice....

                      that's exactly the point I'm making, spent quite a nice chunk of change. I just think it needs to be turned further. The potential is there it just has to be all worked out tuning wise

                        True I kicked out 247HP and 270Torque at the wheels
