Yeah not sure I agree with a lot of the measures as they are subjective and by default an average. Also, the life expectancy stats are skewed due to wide disparities in access to care causing higher infant mortality. Though most of the rest is a measure of social welfare rather than actual healthcare. You can't treat someone with metabolic syndrome and improve their life expectancy unless they stop eating three meals a day of fried food and holding a six pack of beer on their beer belly while watching The Biggest Loser.
How do you measure Democracy? We aren't a democracy anyway we are a republic and it's better that way knowing the average intelligence of the populace.
If I want higher education you go to the US to do it. I'll pass on Taiwan. Though I agree much of our primary and secondary education is pretty dismal in terms of achievement.
