GAH!! Again with the wrap around front air intake. This is SOOO retarded. They get sooo much heat soak into the intake tube running right over top of the exhaust manifold. Why couldn't they just do a short ram intake from the driver side?!?! Is that soooo hard to ask for??

doesnt matter if you have a nice intercooler between the turbo and the engine.
Now, what worries me is the pipe from the 'cooler to the engine....
Looks like the turbo is mounted directly on the side of the engine. That silver part on the driver side next to the intake manifold cover. Not much room for an intercooler there I think.

Just looked on Buicks site and on a press release and the GS trim will be getting a variant of the Cobalt SS engine, making 5 less hp, but much more torque. Supposedly there are rumors of the 2.8TT v6 in a GSX model.

Yeah I have seen a Top Gear video where Hammond was driving the Opel/Vaxhaull Insignea OPC/VXR with the 325 hp TTv6 and he absolutly loved it. It is a great car that has plenty of speed and handles like a dream. I can only imagine the GINORMOUS aftermarket that would exist for them if they came to the states.

Sorry, It may only be single turbo , but still, a 325hp v6 turbo Buick, with awd, and a real suspension. That would be BAMF. Buicks giving STIs and what not a run for their money.

Here is an older article that talks about it.

The Opel Insignia OPC is based on the same platform as the new-for-the-US Buick Regal, but adds the torque-vectoring Haldex AWD system from the Saab 9-3 Turbo X and a 325 HP turbocharged V6. Can anyone say "GNX?"
