Took a printout of this thread and went to my dealer, they said they never knew about it until i mentioned it. They did the work per the TSB, said my car (obviously) was the first one they'd worked on, so I had to let them know if it worked or not...

Needless to say, all has been well since I had this done! WOOOOO!

You can ask the dealership but as far as I know just the 3500 and the 3900 it affects. On the 3500 just the 04-05 i belive.

Had my 6er reflashed back in Decemberish for this problem, and it appears to have come back again. Been using the remote starter lately for shits and giggles, and it seems to overcrank almost every time.

Anyone on "the inside" have any insight to shed on this annoyance? Guess I'll have to get reflashed again before the 3/36 runs out in a month or so...

                    pontiac customer service

ok--- after reading multiple posts about this issue-- i decided to call my delaership about this and ask more questions--- well they gave me the Pontiac customer service number--- the guy i spoke with took all my info but neede the last 4 of my vin-- ok they wanted to be more specific with my car i understand-- but i didnt have that info available and they said that they need that info to be able to look up if there are any car specific recalls-- i even gave him the tsb number and still he could not tell me anything--- i explained theproblem even---still nothing-- so i sit here with my thumb up my ass with just as much knowledge as i knew before i called them-- and can i say thank you pontiac for wasting my time--- i hate calling cs numbers-- very rarely are they ever helpful

sorry had to rant and rave

guess it will be a trip to the dealer for me so they can waste more of my time!!!

I keep a photocopy of the registration for both my cars in my wallet so I have the info handy or if the car is stolen.

And just for clarification, is this new TSB for hard start when hot or extended start problems?
Under-steer is when you hit the wall with the front of the vehicle.
Over-steer is when you hit the wall with the ass end of the vehicle.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you take the wall with you!!!!

I took my G6 to the Dealer in November for Extended Crank TSB. They "fixed" it but it has returned again!
