Yeah, but its always good to aim high. I think if you can get Alberts P&P'ed parts you may stand a chance.
Yeah, from what I have heard, the stock manifold ports already out flow the heads, so I don't know that ported manifold would help. But ported heads would. Also, a modified plenum with bigger volume would help.

My best chance is getting the 60' down to 2.0 flat or less. If I can do that, I'll extremely close to 13's. As for 13.8's, a p&p on the heads, new valves and maybe a plenum mod would probably be needed. But, by time you do all that, your more tan 1/2 to a turbo, so I would probably just scrap the rest and go right to the turbo.

Either way, I'm definitely down with performance mods for a while, whether I break 13's or not. I've got to sit back and enjoy the darn things for a few months dang it!!

Yep, 14.35 was box tune (generic), exhaust and intake on stock tires. Since then, I've:

      1. Got new wider tires - Goodyear Eagle GT's gen. 2
      2. Headers
      3. Heat soak reduction kit
      4. Custom dyno tune.

No, I have no idea if that's good enough for .35, it'll be close, but I do know that my power curve looks soooo much better now. I hold top hp from about 5800 - 6300 rpm and I build power a lot sooner too. The only other thing I can do is race on a cooler, dry night and that'll give me that best chance I have at running 13's.

Under 2.0 will be hard for your torque steer. I havent raced mine yet, but its hard for G8's to get under 2.0 unless you can hook right away.

Yeah, I agree. I will have to be a PERFECT launch. I did a 2.06 on LS2's, so I don't know why 2.00 wouldn't be possible with wider stickier Eagle GT's. We'll find out in about 12 hours I guess.

Super bad news guys, I couldn't get my launch right and fastest I ran was a 14.34, merely 1 hundredth of a second faster. Up set. I'll provide details later.

Ok, so basically, I have decided that I just plain can't get a 60' faster than 2.1 at this track. I was talking to a guy there and he said this is a really oily track and that I need to head up the road to a better one. They have test and tune on saturdays, so I'll probably try in the next couple of weeks.

I can't preload anything more than 2500 rpm and even one I hit higher rpm off the line, I'm spinnin'. If I keep the rpm's low enough to not spin, I'm not gaining any time. I did run a marginally faster 14.34, but considering I spent $850 on headers, I would expect a lot more. Needless to say, I'm so disappointed I considered parting the car out. I just can't believe the mods I've done can't get me anything faster on that track. So, we'll see how I run at the other one.

Atleast you got some passes in. I went to Milan today, waited two an a half hours for my class, got to the staging lanes and the sky opened up. They canceled the rest of the races and I didnt get one pass.

Tires are good. Goodyear Eagle GT's v.2 . I mean, I spent $750 on them and they are rated really well for dry traction. I may have no choice but to try out drag radials.

i think hankook ventus or kumho Ecsta XS would have been a far better choice. ive never raced against people who bought goodyears for the purpose of racing them.

Re: Cincinnati Track Visit - Moved to April 2nd

                          I ran 14.341 @ 97.29 (2.122 60') vs. previous fastest of 14.350 @ 96.96.

There is one thing quite interesting though. My last run was a 14.370 @ 98.08 and a 2.261 60'!! So, if I had the same 60' as earlier, I'd have run a 14.23. So, if I can get some better traction and run a 2.0 60', I'd be real close to 13's. But, not going to happen with street tires.
