  • Tupp Sucks at the Track! - Help Please

Ok so as you all know that I went to the track this weekend… and I am not happy with my performance there. When I would pull up to the tree I tried a number of techniques… I tried just slamming on the gas, I tried preloading to 1500 and 2000 BUT it seems like when I did that the car would bog under the load .

NO MATTER WHAT when I took off at full throttle the car fell on its face and took a second to get above 2K. once above 2k I have no issues.

I don’t have any performance modifications. Well I have an intake and a GTP Takeoff exhaust. That is it.

IF I got the MMI, Tune, and GTR I think that I would have a better time. DUUH!! But what should I get first?

Also what would you recommend for me to do as a technique at the track? This is the first time I have ever taken an Automatic to the track.. All of my old cars were stick and I am used to that.

Well with no further delay…. Here are my Shitty times! Can anyone tell me (other than R/T) what the hell is going on here?

on the brembos i was able to preload to about 3000 or higher and before my tune, with my heavy, muscular ass and my heavy sound system i ran a 16.2 at 89mph.
i want to take it now with my tune without the spair tire or my speaker box and see what it runs.
but i think its all how you launch.

Go with exhaust and then tune. But when I was talking to Erik earlier, he said it was not ideal weather so that may be a factor as well.

I ran a 15.80(ish) and that was just with the tune and no pre load.

            EDIT

May a good engine cleaning will help regain the lost HP?

Motor Mount Inserts literally TRANSFORM how the car feels. I would suggest getting those if you wanted an inexpensive way to increase engine stiffness.

Im curious, are motor mounts universal or are there particular ones for each kind of car.
