  • Reverse/back up lights

Ok, they used to work, now they don’t. Fuse is good and I tried a new relay, still nothing to the lights. Code B2545-06. Circuit short to battery. Code will not clear. What I’m looking for is where the signal originates and what wire routing to get the signal to the back fuse panel. Car is a 2006 G6 GTP with the 3.9. Thanks for any help.

Have you checked the wires at the tail light to make sure there are no breaks in the wiring or shorts? Also look for corrosion.

Has your car ever had a trailer hitch installed?

The reverse switch should be attached to the Transmission I believe. I don't have a g6 anymore to check though

Thank you, I’ll check those areas out. And no, it doesn’t appear that a trailer was ever wired in. There is a reverse camera tied in to the passenger side backup light.
