I remember, i participated in that as well, I was just focusing on this one idea now since GM has thier plan in place for thier brands now, and didnt want ppl to just ignore because its an old thread.

Mrslcom - I disagree, since this would jsut be an individual line of cars similar to "SS" it would simply require a bit more investment than usually goes into advertising a new product.
They would all technically be Chevy's, but they would be niche chevy's which names were G__ or whatever, while chevy maintains naming thier vehicles with stupid words.
This would allow them to have a different style from the current/future Chevy look, and be completely different from thier vehicles.
... Essentially it would be a new brand, but without the cost of making a new brand as well as new products known

I would love for that to happen and it could work too. I am just saying the chance is slim Pontiac will come back in the near future.
