  • GM Strut Brace Bar

    Brand: General Motors

Price: $96.28 including S&H in the lower 48 states

    Purchased From: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com

NOTE: Be prepared to wait approximately 2 weeks for delivery.

    Installation: Easy

    Installation Time: <30 minutes

    Any Installation Tips You Have:
    1. Be careful not to over-tighten the nuts when you mount the bar.
    2. Be sure to place some sort of padding on your hood to prevent rubbing (There are numerous threads on both of these issues. I suggest you read them before installation.)

Quality of Part: (rate 1-10) 9+
    Product Performance: (rate 1-10) 10
Would you Recommend to Others: YES, without reservation!

    Any Other Comments:

I was very surprised by how much better my car takes turns after installing the bar. It reduces body roll by more than half when you take a hard turn, and nearly eliminates the feeling of body roll when taking turns in 'normal' daily traffic. I've installed similar products in other cars, and not gotten this much in performance gain from them.

Summing it up: This is a well made product that vastly improves the driving experience in the G6. Well worth the price...very few available products will provide this much bang for the buck.

I would think sway bars would make a greater difference than STBs. I had STBs on my gp and never made a difference. Then again, G6s don't have as wide of a stance as GPs do.
Racing in a Honda is like the special olympics. If you win you're still retarded.

              Ignorance isn't bliss, it's moronic.

Don't think there is a sway bar available for the G6.

Sway bars do make a lot bigger difference, and there is already sway bars on the G6. Not huge aftermarket ones, but still good stock sized. I think they are 22mm or something.

My best mod for handleing thus far has been wheel spacers. Try them.

They are 22mm sway bars according to my micrometer.. those are MASSIVE compared to most aftermarket. I'm curious if these sway bars are solid or hollow. Almost wonder if the 6 would handle and benefit from a SMALLER bar.

I attest the STB... good improvement.

I just got my strut bar installed. I wasn't sure if I would be able to feel any difference, but it definitely tightens things up.
