  • $ 8.35 for A GTP lugnut!!!!

Am not going even to bore you with my extra sh*ty day I had today, but end the end I go to rotate my tires as I havent done it 8K miles ago a year ago today. So I have the jacks all set up. I try to speed stuff up and take my impact gun to take off the lug nuts instead of breaker bar then a ratchet. So I start off remebering its a 19mm. Well my extra shocket set is at work, my main set only has a normal "shallow" dish. Yea, well that didnt go well. It beat the round part of the lug nut to the shape of the 3/8 drive. I screwed 2 of them up. Well I do have my standard deep dish with me and 19mm converted is 3/4. They apear to fit tight, I use it on the next lug nut. It jams ovously....... I take it to my vise. I take pin it from the top and with a simple top the ultra soft aluminam puts a hold right into it . SO I know am extramly pist off. I call the dealership to see if they have any instock. I get lucky they have just 3 and thats what I screwed up is 3. Then they say it will be 8.35, I thought thats a little high but ok. Then they said all togther with tax it will be 26.80 I said excuse me, I thought they where 8.35, he said yes each

Needless to say, my car on sunday I might be going up with my GF for her motorcycle run and her friends shes riding with wants to see my car when they first meet, so I had to buy them. My mom is picking them up on her way home for me.......... what an F-ing rip off. 8.35 a lug nut.......

That's the way dealers are. I'm having to charge $7.35 a lugnut to a walk-in customer.

It's probably cheaper to get a set of McGard nuts to replace them...

I bought the stupid bolt cause I couldn't find one that matched it, but I said screw it to the lug nut and went and bought a full set of forged McGard ones for all the wheels. They are far better quality than the stock ones, and they cost me $30 for 20
