  • Best Headlights?

I've been reading a couple of forums and read a great deal of threads on headlight replacements for the G6. I guess basically my question is what are the best replacements bulbs for the G6? Without going to HID's? There has been a wide range of bulbs mentioned in the threads. Some say they are brighter or whiter. Then other people reply back with they are not that way. So if HID's are #1 which people say they are what would be considered #2? To replace the stock bulbs in the G6.

A lot of people are using Nokya bulbs, myself included. They give off a nice white light, with a slight blue tint. here's some pics of my car:

I have Nokya Arctic whites in the headlights, and MTEC Cosmos blue bulbs in the foglights. They are almost the same, the MTEC ones being slightly bluer.

I dont know if you guys will agree with me or not but if you want your car to look good from far away get the Nokya bulbs and keep your fog's stock, re-aim the fog...it kinda gives off more light IMO and looks good with blue and yellowish light on the road. :smoke:

I aimed my fogs a littler higher with the MTEC bulbs, and they put out more light than the headlights now!

GTP so basically just do a search on Ebay for Nokya Arctic whites (I dont need a certain wattage or anything?) H11's for LOW & Fogs & H9's for Highs correct?

I must say very impressed with everyone's willingness to help out around here. Quick responses, everyone is so nice. It's nice for people like myself who are just delving into the world of modifications. I had a 2002 Neon (bought it new in late 2001) never did any modifications to it. So basically learning everything on the fly now with my new G6 GTP. :warped:

i'm still not sold on these nokya lights. how well do they light up the road compared to the stock lights? the stock lights are pretty damn good. i got some different brand of bulbs that had the same description as the nokyas and they didnt light up the road at all, i didnt think my headlights were even on.

The thing your wanting you probably wont get from an aftermarket bulb, it's almost like you sacrifice some of the light output for the whiter looking light. Stock bulbs have a lower lumen number which is why the yellowish tint to it, the nokya is a "7000 k" so you get the white light but less output! If yah kinda get what I'm saying, in my eyes.. its a trade off!

i'd rather be able to see. so would you have to switch to HIDs to get the whitest light and also the high output?

From where do you get the kit? I presume the kit includes low & high's? what about fogs? Is it difficult to install?
