not a bad idea. i have the ac delco oem drilled and slotted on my rear. i don't notice any braking difference because it's the rear though.

remember cheaper rotors have thinner walls and bigger gaps in the vanes which will lead to easier and faster warping. spend a little extra and get better rotors. "you get what you pay for" and you dont want to take chances with your brakes. I have the EBC Performance slotted rotors with EBC RedStuff. I have about 1,000 miles on them now of hard mountain driving with 0 problems. and I have run them pretty hard a few times were I have gotten them hot. I have had the R1 concepts and warped them. but they could have been a bad set.

here is some pics of what Im talking about
(I think those inserts are to balance the rotor)

Re: Whats a Good Slotted and Drills rotor?

Well I guess I'll give the R1concept rotors a try.

My G6 current has 59k miles (read below, its just suspension mileage now) on it and its a 08 and I feel a slight vibration above 75mph, but its a even bigger vibration when I brake suddenly, which leads me to think its the rotors. So I think after 59k miles on stock rotors is pretty darn good. I sure these Eibach lower springs will help to a certain extent, the Strut Tower bar has been a amazing improvement in stability, so I'm sure the springs will help even more. Also I don't want to get cheap rotors, like snowman66 said, you shouldn't go cheap on safety.

Also bare in mind that in August of 2011, my car fell victim to a hydra-lock in that monsoon rainstorm that hit NY state, but since my car only has 40k on it and it just swamped the air box, Progressive replaced my engine and transmission with a brand-new set. so in essence my engine only has 19k miles on it.

I ordered these last night as a birthday gift to me (since my b-day is the 9th :P)

Expand your visibility and add the cool factor with our automotive lighting selection. From projector headlights to custom LED tail lights we've got you lit.

I got them for my fog lights, just because I think my Revotec Eagle Eye projectors make my fog lights look weak. Plus I like going down the highway with my low-beams and people flash me thinking I have my high beams on - Then I flash them back and you just see their forehead getting a sunburn and they get the STFU *owned* look on there faces.

I have had the R1 concepts for a couple of years and they have worked great, no warping issues or anything, to me they are a great choice for good rotors that won't break the bank. They look great too!

I have the R1 concepts with ceramic pads and am very happy with them. It's a huge improvement over the stock rotors.
