Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
Get ready to be bombarded with "FWD burnouts are lame" by the community. There is a TC button next to my 12v in the center dash as well. I don't know if it is present in all G6's.2006 Pontiac G6 GT

Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
Traction control button should be where they said.
An easy way to break an auto loose is to (at a complete stop) press the brake down firmly. While holding the break down press the gas. Once your car revs to 2.5 or 3K release the break quickly and put the gas pedal down. That should provide some healthy tire spin.1972 F100

Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
if you dont have a TC button then you dont have TC and if u have a 4cyl like your profile says then i highly doubt it can even do one all i have to do in my gxp is hit the gas and it will do a burnout hell if im going 20mph and punch it it will break the tires loose if i hold the brakes and preload to 2k rpms and launch i will spinn the tires all the ways across a 6 lane intersection all of this is without holding the ebrake too lol

Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
Have you ever driven the 4 cyl? Mine will peel out with traction control on, and no brake, just gas. I assume he wants some smoke though and that's a bit harder as he would have to keep them spinning for a bit.1972 F100

Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
I have read here, dont remember where, that doing burnouts on our cars will seriously hurt the front transaxle because some oil starvation issue or something.
Tranny experts care to give light here?
I can spin my tires easily from standstill, they are 235!!

Re: Burnout / Traction COntrol?
i'm not sure if the traction control button is in there. I will definitely check that tomorrow morning. I definitely don't remember seeing it.. but my g6 has definitely peel out ... and so yea.. i think its got a decent amount of power behind it... I might try the break thing up to 2.5 and then floor it... we'll see... not sure if it's a great idea... but if people double that opinion... i might give it a shot..
