  • Side moulding coming off

The side moulding (in the middle of the doors running parallel to the ground) is coming off on my G6 and I need to reattach it.

A friend of mind opened the rear drivers side door and it caught on my door and popped it half off the door. It appears it was originally attached with some double sided foam tape. Aftermarket foam tape is too thick.

Does anyone have any experience with what works to re-attach this piece of moulding to the rear drivers side door?
How do I set a laser printer to stun?

well you could jb-weld it but i wouldn't recommend it.

i would just have the dealer fix it next time you are there...or stop by and see if they will just give you some adhesive to fix it...

          Re: Side moulding coming off

My wifes purse caught mine (but she swore it was the door itself) and it pulled up the back pass
doors trim by about 10" or so. I got some clear GOOP (glue) and a clamp and put it back. It was kinda
a bear because it bent it some (plastic) when it bent backward. The clamp did the trick while the glue dried.

No problems yet and that was about 3 years ago.

In hindsight I should have taken a piece of fishing line and removed the whole thing. I could have then
replaced the 3M tape and reapplied after cleaning the old crap off the door.
The result would prolly be the same though.

Now I may have to re-evaluate her "It did it by itself" story if what you say is true...cause she was exiting the front
and my son was coming out the back at the same time. We thought her purse caught the edge but she didnt think so.

happened to me also, just use some double sided tape and hold with a clamp, or lampoon's solution, either way it should work.
