Good morning:
I recently purchased a pair of these from a private seller, used, for $150 (New from Tunersdepot.com is about $256) who was trying to offload a spare set. There are two variants--chrome bezel and black bezel. I opted for the Black bezel.
For overall part quality of what I got, I give it about a 7.5/10 for the used version that I received. Some components were missing, but nothing that couldn't be replaced without channelling my inner MacGuyver (as in it was fixed with a blowtorch and a paperclip).
For performance of product on the car, I give it an 8/10. Like most projector lights with Halogen bulbs (and this brand says xenon HID voids any waranntee), they are a bit dim, but at least to my eyes, not anywhere close to being undrivable...I can see just fine--and that's using generic bulbs--not Silverstars.
Cons:
The lights use H1 bulbs for both high-beans and low (projector) beams. New might come with bulbs, but mine used didn't. The bulb type is stated on the back of the hoising, but is not easily apparent. Also, for adjusting the aim, the bolts to do so are on the back of the housing on the bottom, which for me meant that for adjustment, I had to unbolt the splashguard and get at them from underneath--rather than the hex-bolt on top for stockers. And as aforementioned, they, being halogen projectors, are a bit dimmer than stock.
Pros:
As seen in this somewhat-blurry pic:
The biggest question to me is why the hell didn't these cars come with these? In my opinion, these look GREAT! This is coming from someone who is more about go than show. On a grey or black car, the black bezel really works. I'm sure other cars would look good with the black bezel as well, and white cars would rock the chrome bezel really well. Wiring the main lights is easy--just plug and play like replacing the whole lens assembly.
The LED accent lights under the turn signal and the halos are on different circuits that need to be wired into something (According to the GB thread, these lights are the same as the Spyder halos). In my case, for ease of use/install, I just wired them into the parking light circuit, so whenever the fogs, parking, low beam, or highbeam lights are on, the Halos and the LED's are on (and when just the DRL's and all lights are off, the halos/LED's are off). One could wire them to a separate circuit for better control, or even split out the circuit for independent control over the Halos/LED's respectively. My only caution on wiring independently would be to make sure that the circuit is not energized when the car is off.
Overall, I'm happy with the product. It looks great, was easy enough to put together and even though they are slightly dimmer than stock, I can see fine--especially for the price. Plus, unlike my stock lenses, these ones don't leak.
If the dimness is a big issue for you, I'd suggest saving up for something that does HID.
