    BrakeMotive Ebay Rotors and Brakes

    Hey all, its been a while since I've posted on here, but thought I'd throw a quick review out there.

    I needed brakes and my rear rotors were shot so I decided to replace the rotors/pads all around. Had inspection coming up (I live in PA) and it wasn't gonna make it.

    I picked up a full set of BrakeMotive pads and rotors from ebay. Heres a search link: http://bit.ly/bMmK6j

    The price was super low, but I figured I'd try them out (I know I know, don't go cheap on brakes... well I really have my eye on a new Camaro in the next 6 months so I just want something that would hold up for a bit) I have a hard time believing they could be worse than the standard rotors you'd get at Advance Auto so I picked them up.

    All in all I'm very happy. Shipped very quickly, all seem to be quality parts and fit very well. I've got about 1000 miles on them now and not a complaint at all. They are drilled/slotted rotors and came with ceramic pads. They gave a year warranty against cracking around the holes if you use their pads.

    If you're looking for a very economical way to replace your brakes/rotors and like the look of drilled/slotted I recommend them for sure. I checked tons of reviews around the net before I picked them up and everyone else seems to agree.


    Please excuse the rims, I promise I cleaned the thing when I was done!

    those rotors look good, glad to see you stopping by again! I agree, I think when it comes to ALL the lower and mid priced rotors-I bet they are all from the same blanks. People will argue that point up and down but for the prices they have to be just standard blanks

      how much were they? i paid like 320 shipped for my r1s or w.e they are called i had on my old 6. they had a great group buy

            I plan on replacing my rotors once I get my rims changed (which will be in a year). Keep me updated on the quality too.

              I spent something like $160 shipped which is a steal. Like I said, I have about 1000 miles on them now and no warping, fade, brake dust issues, squealing, clicking, etc... just seem like normal pads and rotors so far.

              I'll post here a bit more down the road and let you know if I see any issues. After all the research I really only saw good things across lots of forums so I'm expecting them to be fine.

              Hopefully I can't tell you a year from now though...I've got Camaro on the brain!

                i can tell u dont have brake dust issues......they look new and ur rims look like you went through a dust bowl

                  That pic is from the day I put them on, any dirt is from the road and the old pads. I had 0 miles with the new pads and rotors. The car was just filthy and hadn't been washed in a while and I was waiting to change this stuff before I washed it since I was probably going to get everything all dirty changing the parts out.

                      I couldn't find anything on where the rotors were cast. If they are cheap and cast here in the US they usually last and are good. Also are those Rotors DOT approved? Those are some indicators to look for on if they are quality or cheap Chinese sand molds.

                        The company states that they are made in the USA. I heard that drilled rotors are show car use only. Any comments on that?

                          no the z4 beemers have them....mercedes come with them there not

                            it varies by car manufacturer, some use drilled and some use slotted. Vettes have drilled, Aston Martins have slotted (actually its like a wavy line on the rotor-not the traditional slots)

                              I just put anothet good 200 miles on them coming to a wedding and still not one complaint. Except the hangover I have, but that's really not related.
