      Re: Oil Catch Can

it's to keep oil from getting in the intake manifold.

you want a billet prototypes catch can. my buddy with the 402 had a cheap catch can on his and it let an insane amount of oil into his intake manifold. also while you're at it do the throttle body coolant bypass.

he's definitely getting one now even though they're expensive. plus they look great. i'd get it and do it right the first time.

and some emissions bullcrap where the coolant goes through the throttle body to heat it up.

What Mike said. They're soso and don't really do much other than keep the excess oil residue out of the intake manifold. If you ever go FI these are needed, if not, theyre nice to have but dont do much.

                            Re: Oil Catch Can

Dude don't pay a ton for a catch can, unless you want something flashy, I plan on making one for the accord using an old Folger can, 2ft of hose, and 2 clamps....thats it...

All a catch can is, is a "can" routed in-line with your vacuum source that "catches" any oil that might find its way past your valve cover baffling. Can be made from almost anything.
