Do I need a new door latch?

So my DIC constantly tells me that my driver door is ajar. I made a post about my radio not turning off and and Ahuhn suggested it might be the door latch.
Anyone else experience this? Can I just replace the latch, or is there something attached to it that also needs to be replaced? Also, there are no codes thrown.
