  • Where does this part go?

I was looking for something under the rear seat of my G6 Coupe and lifted the rear seats and rear console. This part rolled out and I don't know where it goes back in. It's a 4" long thin shaft with rivet caps at each end. Any ideas? I think it came from under the rear center console, but I can't see anywhere it would clip in. TIA.

OK, got the image available. Sorry, should have thought to upload an image right from the start. I was off a little in its length. It's actually 7" long and not 4".

I would bet that is some kind of spacer to keep the center console halves from moving in towards each other ... probably just a cosmetic piece.

That would be my guess anyways
