Ok...summer project will be here in 2 days.
Functional 3D Carbon side quarter vents.

Looks like its gonna be a project too. Cutting and piping, vents etc.....

Im stoked.






of course the Mrs knows nothing about it.

I need one of these guys in yellow!

Im not sure if the GT will fit on that center piece or I most likely will have to leave it off.
She may not be happy about that.

Nice. They make those got the GTO's too.. you can get cutouts to put in or whole new fenders if you wanna take the easy route, they mimic the G8's ones.

A new fender is $800 plus paint. These are $200 plus paint.
Im not counting labor as Im doing it.

Should lookie sweet on the car....

The contour and shape will match and highlight the back side vent I added.

Of course I still have a few mods to put on it that are sitting here.

maybe I will do that today when I get back from the Post Office.....

I got them yesterday.

The Quality looks good. I will get them painted and begin the install.

Tell you what, I can see why mustangs sell so well. I rode in a week ago a friend's 07 GT with that short throw 5spd. That was like a rocket ship!! Has a PCM tune, 4.11 gears, CAI, lowered, stiffer susspention, and no front passanger seat and says it runs on street tires 12.9s with 100 octane fuel with timming bumped another plus 4. On slicks and no backseat hits 12.6!

He let me drive it and taught me manual much more then am experanced too. His 2nd-3rd is like a G6s 1st and his 4th is like my 2nd gear on pulling power.

Like the mustang or not, have to say dollar for dollar they must be the fastest funiest cars to buy (new) and very little worked needed for them to run hard. His GT new was like 1500 more then my GTP new. I have too say I think Ford was the way to go for me 3years ago

I marked the grates prior to paint so I could reinstall with no issues.



Painting is done!!





I was playing around with a smaller GT since the install will remove the side GT emblem
but I dont think Im digging it.





Install is next.
