Well this weekend I'm doing a seafoam and changing my plugs/wires. I could see if there is some labels someplace on the engine, perhaps I could find out for you....

Could this mess with a tune since the MAS on the intake could be skewed?

Doh! - I just a email they said they won't do the tune - looks like you locked in another one! - They are however still doing the headers. (which these headers, exhaust and CAI, she is just screaming now for a tune, )

Although when I did the Energy Suspension sway bar bushings, I found my sway bar is the size that is suppose to be in the G6 GXP, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities..... to my knowledge everything is new, they ordered new injectors and everything, the whole engine was taken apart for insurance reasons.... metal shaving all over the place.

What's interesting for me is the 2008 engine that I have in my G6 was made in 2012, lol! .... might explain why I get 35.6 MPG on the highway on cruise.... just a FYI, my original engine got hydrolocked at 38k (91k now)

I told them to give me about 3 weeks to get the headers ordered and they said that's perfectly fine.

What's interesting is they suggested putting my turbo in the rear, which seems kind of crazy but I guess it's possible....

(what surprises me is that no one on here has ever reported a successfully turbo, so it was interesting) I've already locked in $350 to install the headers (I saw someone one here put them on their 3.5L and I will order the same kit) and they will get back to me by the end of the week for the quote for the turbo. For the record 800 to 1000 is ridiculous if they think they have software support lol

Heres the scenario (unless something huge changes that hasn't happened in 7-8 years)

    1. You'll get an honest shop who will say they screwed up and cant do it (I've seen this a few times)
    2. You'll get a dishonest shop that will say they can do it fake the dyno numbers and you'll have a stock tune (I've seen this a few times as well)
    3. You'll get a semi-honest shop that will order a tune from me install it and charge the everliving crap out of you (I've seen this once).

So what shop is it I'm curious? Wisconsin isn't exactly a hotbed of GM tuning/engineering LOL

I was a programmer in my past life.... I should get into tunes.... LOL

But there is one place in CT that has offered to installed my custom headers and do a 93 tune on my G6. They come highly recommended from my car club buddies in Dutchess County (me and my friend started a car club about 6 months ago, we got 45 active members) - I've also offered them 1500 (they asked for 1600) to do a custom turbo to my G6 and they said that it's totally possible, they will have fabricate it, but I'm willing to see if they can do it. (they said they would get back to me once they do some research on material costs)

They have 3 in-house PCM/TCM Engineers in-house, all this company does is modify sports cars.

    here is their webpage: www.facebook.com/WeaponsGradePerformance
