  • Seat recomendations for comfort.....

My 06 GTP with the airbag option maybe the WORST seats I have ever been in for comfotablitly. I love how they look but there hard and long trips they make my lower back burn for like a 2+ hr trip 100+ miles. I dont have back issues. I can drive my Chevy Express Van all the time 12+ hr days travling from TN to NJ with no issues. I put 25K on my van and no issues. My G6, horrible. Like sitting on concret rapped in leather I took it a year ago to a trim shop to see if can get more padding and they said how the seats are disgned there isnt room for anymore padding. So am stuck, I really love my G6 with the interor and body style but hate the seat comfotablilty. I have almost gotten rid of it twice before because I got pist at the seats

Any sugestions of what to do and anyone else feel the same way on the seats?

    Thanks

Yes I hated the seats too in my G6. They are very firm and I can never get a comfortable seating position no matter how I adjust them. Also the seatback doesn't recline all the way forward or backward. Many people who rode in my car complainted about the seat too. It makes me want to get rid of the car sometimes just because of the lousy seats. It's funny they look and feel very similar to the seats of my old BMW 3-series and I hated those seats too. They made my lower body ache just after a couple of hours on the road.

I never had a problem in my G6. Never had anyone complain about the seats either.

Maybe American asses just don't fit in G6 size seats?

my ass fits perfectly in mine

i didn't want leather... seems to be what makes most seats uncomfortable.

Have you tried playing with the lumbar adjustment?

Yeah really. Mine are fine, i put them all the way to the floor and the front tilted up as far as it goes. Then move the seat forward to take care of any reach you may have lost. It's like sittin in a bucket for real.

My fiance' would agree with you that the G6 seats are horribly uncomfortable (to her). To me they were fine but she definately hated them. She really likes our malibu seats which yes are different, you may want to try swapping one out to see or possibly the foam inserts.

Yes, use to have it out some and played with it and no good. Found it best to have it all the way "off"

I didnt know the malibu seats are diffrent, thats really cool to know! That should be a direct bolt in with airbags and all and or a swap like you sugest with the inserts. That is great to know! I am def going to look into that!
