Does that pull up the same stuff as the Carfax or is it more in depth than what the dealer will give me? I certainly will be getting the Carfax before buying, actually I will get the Carfax right after I test drive. Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.
It will show a completely different report. Carfax will report accidents, DMV records. GM VIS will report every little bit of work done on it and piece of equipment that was replaced under warranty. Ex. 2005 GTO i looked at before this, carfax showed 100% clean no problems, just 3 owners. GM VIS showed the rear end was replaced under warranty and some other stuff that makes you run from the car.

Well heres the scoop, ahuhn said the car looks clean on the GM VIS report so we'll see what happens with the Carfax with 21 reports. Hopefully it's nothing too major so the old lady can get the 6 and I get the GTO.
eh I didn't have anything but a carfax ran on mine but I had GTO fever so I didn't care and just bought the thing. However you can youtube my car and see it being ran at a local strip when it was modded all the hell
