1. Unplug your factory Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF). This can be done by first pulling the gray TPA lock backwards on the MAF sensor connector if your vehicle has one. Next press down on the back latch and remove the plug.
2. Insert the plug you just removed into the Heat Soak Reduction Kit and insert the other end into your MAF
3. Now locate a good position for the HSRK sensor. Here are a few tips
Locate the sensor in DIRECT airflow if possible (in the inlet tract)
Locate the sensor as far from major heat sources as possible
Locate the sensor in an area that's easy to install such as a silicone coupler
this is a pic of where you could place your sensor
4. Using a stepper drill, drill a hole in your mounting area that's just big enough to fit the sensor. if you are drilling into a coupler you can drill small and squeeze it in, if you are drilling in a hard surface pickup a grommet from your local parts store that fits the sensor.
also don't over-drill your hole you want the tightest fit possible. remember no one likes a loose hole.
