The worst one I have found so far will be the actual bumper. I will take it off and throw some dynamat on it and hope it helps. Maybe even some spray foam.

I'm not sure, I could be mistaken.

Ok the G6 officialy has the worst rattles of any car I have ever heard. The bumper looks like it is going to fall off. Don't think there is much helping this thing. We will see. As for the sound. These things sound great. I didn't think they would sound nice but the sq is actually up there. Not the greatest but it sounds nice. Oh and did I mention that it is pretty damn loud. The POS amp is on its way in the freakin trash. Well not the trash but this beotch sucks balls. It claims to be 1 ohm stable. Well it is but only if you run it at less than 2/3 volume if over that it will overheat in a couple seconds and shut off. If you ever have the option to get this amp just be sure you run it at 2 ohms. Anything other than that you are wasting your time. I am going to shop for a new amp and will sell this one to some girl I'm fuckin for like 200 bucks to power some orion 10's. I have to rebuild the face for my box too. I fucked it up putting it in. The piece along the port broke when I was putting it in the trunk. Oh its not carpeted yet. I might try one more box and see if I like the sound better.

That sucks, but the rear bumper is only held on by like what 2 screws and 2 pushpins or something like that. 4 screws maybe. Either way, not on that much.

disposablehero
05-17-2006, 07:11 PM
I am going to dynamat it and fill the empty spost with spray deadner. I might just build a box for 1 sub and run this amp at 2 ohms. I will get over 900 rms that way. Just until I get the other amp.

Did you pick your other amp out yet? I thought I saw you mention a orion amp somewhere.

I handed onr to her and she almost dropped it, I had to grab it. She thought it would be light. Funny stuff. As for the amp I want the orion 2500d. The new one looks hot. It is all black with a lil red. But for now I will just sell this stuff and get a hifonics brutis 166 or 2000 watter. Just until I finish upgrading the rest of the system. I am going to get the jl audio clean sweep and am going to upgrade my electrical. I will also amp the eclipse speakers I put in. I have the 4 way 6x9's and am going to get the top eclipse componets for the front. I have all jl in my truck and would go all eclipse but their amps don't put out enough power for me.

Orion makes some pretty bad ass stuff. I've owned a few Hifonics generation XI, those were really nice.

You should buy what I have sitting in my closet, a US Amp VLX- 400. :D

What is sad is that these wouldn't even fit in the 6er. they are like 40 something inches I remember corectly.

Hehe yeah it's 44" long, and weighs like 40 lbs or something like that. It's just an amp I collected, I thought about selling it long ago and ever since then I've had it stored. I've never even installed the thing cause I can't fit it in anything I own. I agree, very sad... but funny :D

I have a few amps like that. Biggest amps like that I have are a Phoenix Gold MS1000TA and somewhere I have a Earthquake PA-4300. I used to have a USA-800 but I sold it :(

At least it would give you the power you need, and then some

Aight the amp sucks too freakin bad. I am pullin the box at and I am going to build a box for a single sub so I can put 916 rms at 2 ohms to one sub. It will sound better and hit harder. plus it won't cut out. Just till I get a bigger amp. Joey is sad.

That kenwood still? Or did you get your new one yet.

That kenwood still? Or did you get your new one yet.I am waiting on the chick I'm fukin wants my amp and some other subs so I am going to keep it till she gets the funds. I will try a few boxes to see what I like. 1 sub = less wood and I can put enough real power to 1 sub at 2 ohms. Kenwood just lost both mine and everyone elses buisness. Decks amps subs I don't give a damn so I am going to get rid of this thing asap. I am going to run the orions at 4 ohms at a true 5 something and they will be aight. They are 400 rms each. I hate kenwood. I am leaning twards just a hifonics amp. Cheap power and they are pretty damn reliable.

disposablehero
05-21-2006, 02:33 PM
Nevermind. The amp just took a shit on me. Now it claims to have a short. This amp is garbage. To hell with kenwood. I am sending it back and getting my money back. I will save for a few months and get some decent power. I will also upgrade some of the electrical on the 6er before the next amp goes in. I contacted kenwood and bitched them out. I a, actually thinking about taking legal action. This amp claims to be 1 ohm stable and it isn't. That is false advertizment. I told them they had better start thinking of a way to make things right.

to be honest i can't even remember. it was just running 3 crappy 12W0s so i am sure it wasn't stressing itself out.

I am thinking about a pait of these. JBL GTO1201.1. I can get them for around 250 each. 1200 rms each at 2 ohms. Hmmm

Kenwood is so spotchy with their products that it is unacceptable. I mean they have great stuff one time, and then they'll turn it into garbage or the other way around.

I did the big 3 on her today. I used 4 guage and I got o guage for the amp. I have a tight ass design for my amp rack. I will post pics soon. I jusr need to decide how to dye the rest of the carpet in the trunk.

disposablehero
05-30-2006, 09:13 PM
Big 3 ftw.Yeah we will see. But have you seen the wire from the alt. How does 12 guage wire or smaller sound??? No shit. The bat is 8 guage but I kept the originals hooked up and added 4 to the rest. I might go with 0 for the ground just for fun. I might hook up mu spait yellow top in her too. I want to put 2 or 3 kinetik bats in there but that will be later. We will see how the stock holds up. I am going to contact ohio gen to see if they have any aplications for our car yet.

Interfire
05-31-2006, 01:58 PM
That small eh? I haven't paid any attention to mine but that's pretty bad. I usually use 4 guage and replace it all around, but that's just a way to waste the extra time. Are you using a yellow top on her now?

Are you using a yellow top on her now?I have one sitting around, I havent installed it and I am not sure if it will fit right. It is at my brothers casa. I was suprixed how small that wire is. Just replacing that will be a huge dif. It is smaller than a bic ball point pen. less than 1/2 ass. I kemp the stock stuff just so when I want to take tha car in for anything I will be able to yank the big 3 out so they can't blame the issue on that.

Interfire
05-31-2006, 03:52 PM
Yeah people always say to replace all of it, but it makes no difference anyway. It'll take the path of least resistance, and it makes it a lot easier to remove it later like you said.

You should make the battery fit  actually isn't the battery a group 75? I have one sitting around that I should put in mine. Didn't even think of it til now.
