I have been searching on here and am not able to find any customized or painted seats. I currently have the tan seats and would like to completely eliminate the tan. Which would mean replacing headliner, seats, glove box, some parts of the door. It includes alot of items of the car. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone done this? Does the interior cloth paint by duplicolor work well?

Re: Interior Painting/Customized Interior
Or have the seats recovered. But as mentioned above, need to be careful with the bags.
Redoing the seats really wouldn't be too hard. Just got to have the materials to do it wit.

Re: Interior Painting/Customized Interior
I'm not very car savy but I figured that they would be able to reupholster my seats, since nobody has used the upholstery spray paint on here, I've definitely ruled that out. But any ideas or input would be helpful, my main goal is to eliminate the tan in my interior which is contained in various places.

Re: Interior Painting/Customized Interior
I wouldn't paint your seats. I work in a custom interior shop and we don't recommend it. The problem with the die is it can weaken the cloth and make your seats wear very quickly. The plastic parts u can paint and it works pretty well as long as the part isn't going to get a lot of wear. We use SEM plastic and vinyl die. SEM makes a part prep system to clean the parts, but I've used glass cleaner and it works well. You can get covers with the colors you want from the dealership but you'll pay out the a$$. Having a shop like mine replace the tan with the cloth you want is going to be a little expensive because the cloth is only available through the factory which means it a little pricey. The tear away thread that is used in the factory covers with the airbags is available. Ive never done an air bagged seat but i know it can be done. If you can find the covers out of a junked car that would be the way to go.
