08 Malibu Steering wheel controls

Could anyone get the part number of the steering wheel controls off of the 08 malibu's?

The buttons are raised, whereas the G6's are flat and I have big clumsy fingers and theyre hard to push.

Also, would they even work with the G6 radio? Most of the buttons are the same in this pic except the ones in green, but this is an LTZ pic. Maybe the LT or some other trim has the same layout of buttons as I do?

Don't the 08 G6 controls have the raised buttons? I don't think the G6 controls changed?

The radio control switches are # 15942439 and the cruise control is # 15942438

You might be lucky enough to find someone on here who would be willing to swap with you. I know a few people were saying they didn't like the raised buttons.

Well I checked on GM parts direct and one of them is 10 bucks and one is 20 bucks. Does that sound right? I figured they would be much more expensive...

Through the dealer they list at 17 and 39.

is that just the module numbers or the whole piece?

I asked this question before and was told that the modules and buttons were different. I grabbed a set of cruise control buttons like the ones in your bottom photo so that I could see if they could be swapped, and I was told they were in a 09.5 G6, and that those had the Driver info stuff in a different spot (cluster instead of radio) so they wouldn't work in an older one. I have not tried them though.

I do have an 08 Malibu SS steering wheel that should be here any day now, and I will check and see if they appear any different than the ones from my girlfriend's 07 G6. I bought it for the radio controls, so hopefully it works.

Here are the labels on the steering wheel I just got. And I stand Corrected, it is am 06, 07 wheel.

I forgot, I also have the cruise buttons like you show from a 09.5 G6



Going to see if those will work in the G6 when I start swapping things over. Will have to see once it is on the tech 2 if it is an optional listing.


Will be taking all of them apart, and will get the numbers off each piece for you.
