The chrome trim ring around the base of the knob pops off. On the front is a small screw holding the knob on. Just unscrew it and the knob slides off.

Let me expand upon Albert's cliff note version.

First thing to do it put it in low. Slide it all the way to the back.
Now for the chrome sleeve .....gently pry it downward. It will slide down the gear lever.
This will expose the screw in the front that was under the chrome sleeve.

Unscrew....being oh so ubber careful not to drop or lose it. CAREFUL with that screw.
You placed the gears in low so that a screwdriver would fit between it and your dash.

Once unscrewed simply pull up. Take it off and now remove your chrome sleeve.

Dont know it the other will fit.

      Have fun.

PS....all of this can be found by searching.

Re: Replacing an automatic shift knob...

Whoops. I forgot about putting it in low or in my case, M. I don't think that knob will work because it is discontinued. But if it weren't, the plastic "pin" that is pushed by the button on the stock knob just points straight up. I think a top mounted button would work. Mounting it is a different story, however.

Well you have the 4-speed right? Don't worry, nobody's perfect.
