    Fixed! Sort of...

    Took the baby to the Dealership yesterday and had a whole list of issues...

    * Sunroof creaking
    * Leak at the brakelight
    * High pitched noise when RPMs hit about 4.5k
    * Idle dropping really low then revving really high when I first turned on the car.
    * Noise in the top end when I first turn on the car.
    * Running really rich and blackening the exhaust tip.

    I talked to the dealership today and this is what they've done:

    * Fixed the sunroof - per the TSB
    * Resealed the brakelight on the trunk
    * They have no idea what is causing the noise, and are still investigating.
    * The idle issue turned out to be a reprogram of the onboard computer.
    * Correct oil filter...AC Delco filter with a check valve.
    * They said this was normal, and that G6's ran a bit richer than other cars.

    I cant pick up my car until the high pitched noise is diagnosed and fixed. And Im driving some crappy Chevy Classic (That sounds like its gonna fall apart as its going down the freeway).

    Anyone have ANY idea what the high pitched noise is? My hubbie's original thought was a vaccuum hose, but the dealership said no...

      The last time I got a classic for a rental was in Arizona and we took it off-roading in the desert. It was all fun and games until a stick got rammed through the radiator. Somehow when me and a co-worker turned it in they didnt notice.


      As for your issue. I cannot think of anything of the top of my head.

        Well at least they have all that fixed. Hope they find the noise issue.

          Ha, I got my car back yesterday. They gave me a buic rondievou or however you spell it. It felt like it was faster than my 6er. That sucks.

              I think Im gonna cry.

              I just got off the phone with the dealership. They put the headliner back on my car and now they cant get the sunroof to close. So they have to take the whole thing apart and try again.

                    I just saw the thing with the exhaust tip. Mine gets black too after a week of not cleaning it. I just use a nice chrome polish and it looks somewhat like new.

                        Did they say anything new on the noise yet?

                        That sucks about the sunroof thing. At least they called you though I guess, you'd think they wouldn't want to mention that but at least it's a good thing.
