  • For those with telescopic steering

Hi, not sure if it's in all models but here is my question. When I go thru rough roads (bumps/potholes) there is a rattling sound coming from the steering column, like it want to come out of the dash! It's been like that since I got it in late 2004. I went back to the dealer when I got it and they said it was normal. I just want to know if I'm the only one with this or if it's a GM 'feature'!

Also, anyone know if the steering ratio can be ajusted, since it's electronicly controlled/assisted? I find that it's not turning fast enough, not sporty enough for my taste.

I haven't experienced the noise you are describing.

As for the steering ratio, this will be set at the rack and has nothing to do with the electric assist steering, so you won't be able to change it. Sorry.

So maybe the GTP is different, dare I say better! Anyone with a 2005 GT with that issue?
