My name is Adam, and I'm the manager of a Detailing Center/Auto Wash here in the Detroit area.

I have the privledge of working with some of the best guys in Michigan when it comes to auto care and detailing. So go ahead and fire those questions away. I'll be happy to come up with a solution for you.

It's an open forum. Anyone who has experience usually answers questions as they come up. BTW, how many users are on the MotownPontiac account?

I certainly agree. The more help the better. This is a community we're all here to help as we can. Different opinions are a good thing, and I'm not here to compete with anyone. I'm just offering the opportunity to share mine and my guys expertise. There's many areas I haven't a clue about and can learn from you guys as well.

Well I tried it once, and the answer is 228. At least for myself. Or a buffer set on medium speed for 8 seconds.

Well I (adam) will mostly be checking up here as I am the G6 owner. But, we have 5 guys at the auto center with a combined experiance of over 45 years.

                            Here is one for ya...
How do you recommend I clean the seat fabric on a base G6. The fabric is called "Vortex Cloth". Mine is light taupe. Every time I try to put some water on it to clean dirt spots, the water dries and leaves a circle. I also get spots if rain drops fall on it. It seems that water actually "stains" this cloth.

The cloth seemed like a good idea. It looks easy to clean. If you unfamiliar with it, it's almost like a twill. Not fuzzy like most seats. Almost like this photo:

                            or this:

same cloth as rest of us have i guess?

one dont use water to clean it, then no spots. get some carpet cleaner and take to it

but that is the non pro answer and works for my car
